Wedding favors are so much fun to do. I like to work with a bride who has new and interesting ideas. This bride wanted cut out cookies, but she did not want them decorated with Royal Icing.
K and her Fiancee both LOVE cookies. They especially love Snickerdoodle cookies and Chocolate Chip Cookies. She wanted to incorporate one of those cookie flavors into a cut out cookie that they could fit inside a miniature cookie jar that they would offer to their guests as a Thank You.
I, of course, was happy to oblige.
After some thought, we both decided that a medium sized (2.5 in) heart shaped cookie would be perfect. The vanilla sugar cookie was sprinkled with some cinnamon/sugar mixture before baking.
We both agreed that the texture was perfect on the cookie.
I think she was very happy.
I wish K and her now husband a lifetime of happiness!!!!!
