Chocolate Chip Marble Squares

If you read my last blog post, then you know how obsessed I am recently with "Confessions of a Cookbook Queen"

I totally love her name and I love what she's about. She wants to bring great recipes to people and show that it's not super difficult to bake something delicious. I am a true believer that if you love to do something, then you will do it well.

I love Chocolate chip cookies and have been tempted to make the bar cookie recipe that is listed on the Tollhouse Site and on the packaging. I was happily surprised when Kristan had the same idea, but with a twist.

The squares pictured on her blog looked so delicious, that I wanted to make them immediately. Did I mention how much I love Chocolate Chip Cookies???? I was excited that I had all the ingredients on hand and I immediately began making them.

Instead of spreading the batter in a large pan, I used the Brownie Pan that I had purchased and began filling the individual squares with the dough. It was great because I didn't need to cut out each square after they baked and they popped out easily from the pan into perfect squares.

The kids enjoyed them, especially my daughter. She also LOVES Chocolate Chip cookies. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree....

Peanut Brittle Cookies

My husband is probably the biggest fan of Peanut Brittle.
It is so bad that we even brought some home from
our honeymoon to California.
He waits for the kid's fundraisers at school and
only looks for that item in the catalog.

I follow Pillsbury on Twitter and was caught by surprise when I saw this recipe. I knew I just had to try making it.

I had him first taste the dough and then I made the cookies.
Needless to say, he loved it and the kids did too.
Although it's a cookie, it still has a crispness to it that replicates actual Brittle pretty well.
